Question was asked if Dr Huss would allow units to continue to carry Epi-Pens and Glucose testing equipment response was NO we will want to stay within the scope of practice.

Protocols are to be in a new easier to read format, expected to be out in Jan 2011, all units will need to hustle to get everything updated and done before April 30, 2011 Service Renewal date.

SERVICE RENEWALS:

  • Renewals MUST BE SUBMITTED TO Evelyn Wolfe BEFORE APRIL 30, 2011.
  • Don't start paperwork till Feb 1 as you cannot submit your application prior to 90 DAYS.
  • Keep service registry updated as it takes care of 90% of work required for service renewal,
  • Other items needed will be CQI Audits Items, Coversheet, Transportation agreements, Documentation on Protocol changes and training.
  • There is a renewal sheet that must be signed
  • Will need new protocol signature page on file with Bureau Office· Dave Dvorsky will work with Dr Huss to get the signature page you will just have to then get it off to Evelyn
  • There are a few dept that still have not provided there driving policy to Evelyn. If your Dept· don't have a driving policy it will hold up your service renewal!· So don't procrastinate get it done now.

If you have in-active members remove from the registry - but before doing so print off copy of data prior to deleting as data will be needed when adding back in at a later date (people on Military leave, etc.)

A discussion was had on a lapse of renewal issue that had occurred when a person moved prior to his re-cert and the renewal notice from the STATE never reached the person because it· was not forwarded.· It was suggested that Dept write to the state to request the STATE to also send notice to the SERVICE prior to the lapse of a members certification.
