Meeting called to order at 19:00 hours by President Dave Dvorsky

Secretary Report - Previous meeting notes approved with the following correction:· Dr Huss needs to review a min of two calls per DEPT per year.· He is does not require that he reviews all Codes.· But does require the responding dept to do an internal review of all codes.

Treasurer Report Motion to Approve by Ken Brown, 2nd by Oxford Jim Weppler.

Yearly Audit of the EMS Association Books will be conducted after tonight’s meeting see attachment for details.

EMS Sat will be held Feb 4, 2011 at South Slope

Committee Report – Several speakers have been secured the currently include:······························ ······························· ··············· Mike Hench······················································································································································································· Forensic pathologist········································································································································································ Mike Angular - Traumatic Brain Injuries.

Other speaker ideas welcome, it was suggested that we review the new training standards and see what was needed for Continue Ed topics for the transition to new standards and see if we could provide some of those topics as part of this years and next training.

Grant Money - Dave has signed contract total moneys are up a$1000 Part A for FY11 is·· $9810.00

Web Site Update - is up and running please go on- line www.jcemsa.org· and register as a member.· Dan M reported that any videos up loaded on the site can be used as optional training hrs.· He will continue to look at developing testing that could be used for formal CEUs.

Oxygen Filling Station - Purchase order has been submitted, down payment of $8000.00 has been made.· Plans are too continue to use the current cascade system for now, process for filling tanks will remain the same.

JECC Update - Radios have reliability issues testing phase has been delayed, it looks like we are now looking at Dec till we go live.

REMEMBER:· All Service Renewals MUST BE SUBMITTED TO Evelyn Wolfe BEFORE APRIL 30, 2011.· You can submit your application 90 DAYS IN ADVANCE.· Please keep service registry updated as it takes care of 90% of work required to for service renewal.

New Business

CPR Task force is disbanding as a result the offered to buy 4 new adult Manikins plus 2 boxes of lungs but ran short on money to cover the cost.· Total short was $104 dollars Dave D asked if the EMS association would consider covering the difference, motion made by Tom Trump 2nd by Ken Brown to cover the shortage of $104.00 with EMS Association funds motion passed.

SE Iowa EMS Association Rep -· Steve Spenler shared he is still will to represent the Association but was willing to step down if someone else had an interest in being the rep. He also said he was willing to share the role· with anyone interested in being a co rep Meeting are held on the 4th Thursday of July, Oct, Feb, April at 7:00 p.m. at the Washington County Ambulance Service.·

Other:

IC Fire is conducting testing for fire fighter positions.

NL Salute to Summer to be held Sat Aug 28, at Bobbers activates start at 10:00 am, Auction, Raffles, Rides for kids, Poker run more info can be found at their website.

Jim Weppler asked if there was going to be any bridge courses to move to EMT B; Steve explained there was not at this time as there is no current training criteria at this time

Officer Elections

At Large Members (up to 6) individuals nominated for these positions were:

Wendy Van Nevel, Dave Dvorsky, Mindy Scott & Doug Campbell

Tom Trump made a motion to accept all names as members at large, Ken Brown 2nd the motion, motioned carried.

Tom made a motion to re-elect Dave Dvorsky as President, Ken brown, 2nd the motion motioned carried.

Mindy shared that she would continue to do the secretary role as long as she had a back up when she was unable to attend due to changes coming up.· Tom motion Mindy as Secretary with Ken Brown as her back up in the event that she is unavailable, 2nd by Jody Klebe Riverside, Motion carried.

Mindy shared Washington County will be holding an EMT B course in Kalona starting in Sept. if interested contact Washington Ambulance Service

Next Meeting Hills, Nov 17th at 19:00 hrs.
