By -Laws Update:

Dave will forward electronic version to Mindy to send to all members.

EMR/First Responder Class:

Currently 16 folks are enrolled in the class, some discussion was had on actual changes to new criteria - it was the general consensus that all update will be through Continuing Ed Class only.

New Business:

Joint Communication Center - As of July 1, 2010 - Dispatchers will be there

No changes to procedures on equipment or dispatch to be seen in July

Changes will be made in the Oct timeframe.

Initially the center will be operating via a patch till new equipment is being finalized

When operational we will see dedicated EMS/Fire dispatch (2)

Minimum Staffing - Question on Service Renewals· -- should be checked· by most departments- this allows you to run with First Responders only vs. having to have an EMT-B on the call.·· It is now a requirement/expectation when a dept is page we have a duty to respond if dispatched 4 times with no confirmation of a unit in route mutual aid should be activated.

Ken Brown will speak with Andy Rocca to see what it will take to roll EMS/Mutual Aid into the current MABAS system or have dept develop some type of aid structure that can be activated in these situations.

Brief discussion was had on the possibility of combining the EMS Association Meeting to be held the same night or in conjunction with the JC Mutual Aid Association.·· It was decided that we liked our structure and was not interested in making changes as this time.

Meeting adjourned 20:30
